School of Nursing and Health Sciences
Nursing is a dynamic profession. Nurses need a strong scientific base from which to practice in addition to the caring, compassionate qualities that are characteristic of the profession. The baccalaureate degree provides expanded practice opportunities for nurses in an increasingly complex, health care industry. Advances in science and technology have increased the knowledge and skill level needed by nurses.
Health care information and scientific discovery will continue to increase rapidly, creating a great challenge for professional nurses.
