4+1 Program for Undergraduate Students

Earn your chosen bachelor's degree and a Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) in just five academic years with the 4+1 MBA program! If you are a traditional undergraduate student with an interest in an MBA degree, this program is a great option to gain a competitive advantage in the job market. With just one extra year of study, students can earn a degree which normally takes two years. With the 4+1 MBA program, you can prepare for your future in a unique way.

Dr. Melanie Timmerman

Dr. Melanie Timmerman is a Professor of Business and also serves as the Dean of the Jetter School of Business at MVNU. She holds a B.A. in History from MVNU, a M.B.A. MVNU, and a J.D. from Capital University Law School. She has served as assistant law director for the city of Newark, OH and assistant prosecutor for Licking County, OH. Dr. Timmerman teaches business at MVNU. Read More

The MVNU Experience

Traditional undergraduate students of any major are eligible for this program

Take normal undergraduate courses in your chosen major during the first three years

During your senior year, take courses that meet both undergraduate elective and graduate program requirements

Apply for the MBA program at the beginning of your 4th year -- current MVNU students with a GPA of at least 3.0 are guaranteed enrollment

Following the fourth year, you will be fully enrolled in the graduate business program and will complete the MBA in just one year
